We were there on Sunday in the farm shop. In general, I liked the farm very much. The farm shop, however, was pretty cramped and full. The cheese we bought at the counter was unfortunately a bit dried up. I had hoped for more.

Super cheese from a single production. All products couldn't be better fresh.

You can eat very well in the restaurant! The price-performance ratio is appropriate and in order! The service staff are friendly and fast. The ambience is rural and rustic, you can be satisfied and recommend it to foreign guests. There is no handicapped accessible toilet, it can be reached via stairs in the basement

Service friendly and helpful. They waited an hour for food. The schnitzel was badly seasoned and tough. The fried potatoes ok, but the potatoes were either bought in advance or have been around for a long time. The sauce on the schnitzel tasted essentially like fat and salt.

Unlikely to be rude. In my opinion, the price and performance for the stripped-down table version of the buffet is not right either. Now 12.50 euros. There are different rolls (I don't know if from the baker), cheese, sausage and sweet, sealed jams. As well as coffee and orange juice. (If you take water instead of orange juice, you have to pay for it additionally) Two stars for the location itself. For families with children for coffee in the afternoons, it is definitely great.

Super friendly staff, always very large portions, so the price-performance ratio is right! Will be happy to eat there again. The ambience invites you to enjoy a long meal.

As the name indicates. Rustic. Great and very tasty food, always nice and friendly service, even during the currently prevailing Corona crisis. Large portions at an absolutely fair price. Very nicely laid out beer garden. It is definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is not very elegant

The meal was excellent. Unfortunately the card reader did not work. Although this was known to the staff, it was not pointed out. And that at a time when cashless payments are preferred. Payment by bank transfer was also not possible without copying the identity card (which I could not allow). Therefore two stars deduction.

The staff are very nice and the selection there in the farm and cheese shop is great. Unfortunately, some people don't adhere to the Corona regulations. But the staff then emphatically reminds her. 😉. Very exemplary

See there, I found another very beautiful gem in the Bergisches Land Hielscher-Hof- "Rusticus Witzhelden" Krähwinkel 4 in 42799 Leichlingen after a very nice walk in the Bergisches Land. It is an approx. 250 year old farm in the half-timbered house style. Very professionally restored, the first impression was very inviting when we entered , we were surprised by a wonderful, partly antique ambience. You can even find an old clay stove inside. Very impressive. The very friendly staff, also in the farm shop, assigned us a table outside in the beer garden, the regulations were due to Corona very strictly executed and observed, everything goes. !!!! Then we looked for cake that was homemade and coffee. When our order was served, we were very impressed by the portions of the cake, apple and strawberry, but also by the taste, chapeau, there is nothing like a homemade cake The cafe as such was even awarded 4 golden coffee cups, but we were also able to enjoy very tasty looking lunch at the neighboring tables, which was also confirmed by the neighboring guests, only the comment, very good or extraordinary, compliments to them Whether breakfast, drinking coffee, lunch or dinner, everything is recommended. This gem also offers a farm shop that is also very interesting. From homemade cheese, due to its own cheese dairy, but also homemade ice cream, as well as jam, homemade schnapps , Ham, sausages and much, much more. It is worth taking a look there. They even send their own products the stay there was very good and we were very satisfied all around. We are looking forward to a next visit there with some friends. You can reach this beautiful and interesting place very well by car, from Düsseldorf from 3/4 hour via benrath , monheim, Leichlingen, Krähwinkel.

Nice place for Team buisness dinner. Portions on the plates are big, cooked really good and Dark Beer add nice taste to the dish. I recommend this place.

It's a farm too!

We have come here for many years and are almost always completely satisfied. The restaurant is rustic cozy. Even more beautiful, however, we find the beer garden. Very idyllic! Also ideal to go with children, as there are game options right next to the beer garden. And by the way, there is also a nice big changing table in front of the toilets. The service is always very friendly here! If it is very crowded you have to wait a bit, but everything is fresh and just leeeeecker !!! Yesterday we ate Schnitzel Witzhelden for the first time. However, with fries instead of fried potatoes. The Schnitzel was perfect, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Only: I would rather have had a colorful side salad instead of just coleslaw (although it was delicious). Otherwise: keep it up! We look forward to the next visit!

A great restaurant that offers seasonal cuisine. Nice staff, comfortable and quiet place. When you are finished you can also buy fresh milk, cheese, and other local goodies there or at the farmers market that is located in the same area.
